With a horrified roar, Hong Xu swiftly drew the BiZhi Sword from his waist and charged into the formation. Gripping the sword with both hands, he slashed fiercely at the arrow aimed straight at him. The intense sword aura, which burst through the air like a sharp lightning bolt, instantly shattered the dome-like energy barrier surrounding the formation. The backlash created a powerful wave that rapidly expanded outwards, sending the Lamas who set up the formation flying.
In reality, the arrow was a manifestation of the formation’s energy through Sanskrit incantations and not a physical entity that could be intercepted like a real weapon. However, the BiZhi Sword in Hong Xu’s hand was no ordinary object. To alter the black color of the sword made from Black Iron 1 , green crystals that cultivators highly covet were added during the forging process. These crystals, full of spiritual qi, would instantly unleash a powerful qi field when disrupted by outside forces, resulting in the above scene.
After disrupting the formation, Hong Xu looked dazedly at the chaotic scene. Suddenly, he turned around and stared intently at the almost transparent figure on the ground.
“……Is that you?” Hong Xu dropped the sword in his hand and knelt beside the figure, asking cautiously, looking like a child who had made a mistake and did not know what to do, “You are him, aren’t you?”
He lay weakly on the ground, looking at the man’s face with a mix of sadness and joy, and said softly, “……I seem to remember some things, though they do not seem very pleasant, but you were in them...... Heh heh, it turns out we have known each other for a long time...... How wonderful……”
“What are you saying? Why can I not hear you?” Hong Xu looked in panic at the figure that became more and more faint. “What is wrong with you? Are you going to die? No― no― no, you cannot die! I just saved you, how can you just die like this?” He reached out to hold the figure, but his fingers passed through emptiness, making him panic even more!
“Haha, how can this be? Haha, why are your eyes closed? Please, don’t! Heavens, what have I done? Imperial Physician―― no, no, no, there is none! Who will save him? You monks, why are you still lying there, come and save him!” Urgently, Hong Xu grabbed a Lama, pointed at the nearly transparent figure on the ground, and roared, “If his soul dissipates, I will not only raze your temple to the ground, but also make sure you die a miserable death!”
The Lama, who had been severely injured by the backlash, did not even have the strength to stand up, let alone chant spells to save the figure.
Suddenly, a huge vortex appeared. Its rapidly spinning entrance, accompanied by a powerful suction, resembled a monster with its mouth wide open, inhaling forcefully. Unable to resist, the figure was quickly sucked in. At the same time, the entrance of the vortex closed rapidly and then it vanished, leaving the space tranquil as if nothing had ever happened!
Hong Xu threw down the Lama and rushed to the now empty grassy area. “Gone? How can this be…… He was definitely just here!” Hong Xu groped around dazedly. “You were definitely just here…… Surely, you must be hiding underground. But it is so dark in there, are you not afraid? Aren’t you the one who fears the darkness the most? But don’t be scared, I will dig you out right now……”
When the Clan Elder and the others returned from the temple and passed by, they were all shocked by the chaotic scene. They saw more than a dozen Lamas unconscious on the ground, tents collapsed, and the once lush green grassland in ruins. The traveler from the capital was frantically digging a hole with both his hands and sword, leaving the young man he usually protected so carefully far to the side.
Everyone looked at each other in confusion. The Clan elder had only heard Hong Xu say he needed to take care of something and had left early, but he had not expected to encounter such a scene.

“What exactly happened here?”“It seems the traveler asked the Head Lama to exorcise a spirit……,” someone in the crowd whispered.
“Exorcise a spirit?” the Clan Elder muttered to himself for a moment, then said, “Someone, take the Lamas back to the temple! Everyone else, disperse!”
“Understood!”
The Clan Elder dismounted his horse and walked towards Hong Xu. Before he could speak, Hong Xu’s dark and fierce gaze sent a chill down his spine. As the leader of his clan, he was not one to be easily intimidated. He had seen all kinds of people, but never had anyone been able to draw out the remaining traces of cowardice in his heart with just one look!
This man was no ordinary person!
“What are you doing?” The ‘Holder of Panacea’ who had not left with the others, walked over holding the young man and asked mockingly, “What? Got tired of him so quickly that you tossed him aside?”
“Who allowed you to touch him?” Seeing the young man in the arms of the ‘Holder of Panacea’, Hong Xu snatched him away, glaring darkly at the ‘Holder of Panacea’ as he said, “Get lost, all of you, or I will kill you all”
“Then go crazy here by yourself!” the ‘Holder of Panacea’ snorted coldly, after which he turned and left.
“Traveler……”
“Get lost!”
The Clan Elder, dismissed in the face, rubbed his nose embarrassed, sighed and left as well.
Hong Xu straightened the young man’s body, and staring intently at his extremely peaceful sleeping face, he said, “I will bring you back to safety. Baby, just lie here beside me for a while, all right?”
Saying this, he laid the young man down on the grass behind him……
His brows furrowed slightly, his eyelashes, like fans, fluttered lightly. As he slowly opened his eyelids, misty, watery black eyes appeared, and the deep blue and lofty night sky filled with countless brilliant stars entered his field of vision.
“……Hong Xu!” Amidst the sound of digging, a very faint whisper suddenly interjected.

Hearing the voice, Hong Xu’s body trembled as if shocked by electricity, and he instantly stopped all movement.“……Hong Xu……” Another clear and urgent call.
Hong Xu quickly turned around in disbelief, but the young man lying flat still showed no signs of waking.
“Hahaha……” Hong Xu threw his back and laughed somewhat maniacally.
“Hong Xu!”
The laughter abruptly stopped.
For a long time, those eyes had been slightly open, quietly watching him. The sword fell from Hong Xu’s hand to the ground as he scrambled on all fours to the young man’s side and carefully studied the beautiful eyes. Bright as the stars, clear as crystal, they exuded an enchanting aura― utterly beautiful!
ZiLi looked with a complex expression at Hong Xu, his towering figure seeming to hold up the entire starry sky for him. This man, this always cold, ruthless and extremely proud man, was now in such a disheveled state for his sake!
“Baby, it truly is you!” Hong Xu trembled slightly as he raised his hand to touch, but his mud-stained, bleeding hand suddenly froze in mid-air.
*Drip, drop* Two drops of warm liquid suddenly fell, shattering on the ground and creating countless ripples.
ZiLi’s heart was deeply shaken. The tears of an Emperor……
Hong Xu suddenly leaned down, burying his face deep in ZiLi’s neck. Hoarsely, he spoke, “If you die, what am I supposed to do?”
“……I won’t die. See, I came back to life, didn’t I?” ZiLi said softly, cradling Hong Xu’s head.
Hong Xu suddenly lifted his slightly reddened eyes and, looking at ZiLi earnestly, asked, “I want to kiss you!”
ZiLi blushed at his words. Who asks like that?
“May I?” Hong Xu asked again, his voice filled with a pitiful earnestness as he sought approval.
Shyly, ZiLi nodded his head slightly.
“Do not close your eyes, look at me!”

Hong Xu’s lips drew closer and closer, gently pressing against those beautifully shaped ones, quietly feeling their softness before beginning to caress them slowly.*Growl――* Suddenly, a series of strange noises disrupted the ambiguous atmosphere between them!
“What was that sound?”
“Uh, well, Hong Xu, I am really hungry!”
“Baby, we need to go back quickly then!” Hong Xu hurriedly picked up ZiLi, but as he turned, he suddenly froze.
“Baby, our tent has collapsed! What an unreliable thing. It looks like we will have to squeeze in with that ‘Holder of Half-Baked Cures’ for the night! That rotten person may be devious, but his cooking isn’t half bad!”
“Uh……”
ZiLi is finally cured! Unfortunately, I cannot make any promises (◡﹏◡✿), but I truly hope to post more frequently again. As for The Elegant Dancing Years, I have uploaded the last chapters I had translated. I noticed that another translator, Azila18, has picked it up, so I will be dropping The Elegant Dancing Years as long as they or someone else continues updating it. Hopefully, this will give me more time to focus on finishing His Majesty’s Hostage (´∀`;)
