Thank you very much XhyXhY for your Ko-fi!
Seeing the expressions on the siblings’ faces, Qi Mingyue let out a sigh and stepped out of Qi Xutian’s embrace. With an indifferent look in his eyes, he walked over to the table and shook his head at the cups and dishes that had scattered across the floor. “Such a waste.” His Imperial father’s moment of anger had caused such fine wine to be spilled across the ground. Although it could not compare to the Imperial wines of the palace, drinking here was far more refreshing than in the oppressive palace, and somehow even made the wine taste richer and more mellow. He truly liked it very much. Unfortunately, he had miscalculated this time and had not expected Ruan Tianqi to anger his Imperial father so quickly. What he had thought would be an amusing affair had ended up costing him a fine pot of wine.
Meanwhile, Ruan Tianqi and Ruan Zilian were both disheveled and filled with terror, wondering what kind of background that man had to dare treat them this way.
Ruan Tianqi held his nearly broken arm, his face deathly pale. He believed he had done nothing improper, merely brushing against Ziyao’s robe, yet that alone had enraged the enigmatic man in white robe. He couldn’t fathom the relationship between Ziyao and that man, or why the other dared act so boldly in Ziyao’s presence. Although the man hadn’t said much, the implication behind his words was unmistakable. It was clearly a warning that if he continued to be entangled with Ziyao, the man would take his life.
Ruan Tianqi had expected Ziyao to show some reaction, but it now seemed that the other had little concern for the two siblings and was completely unconcerned by the man’s actions. Yet the moment he took a closer look at Ziyao’s expression, he immediately sensed that something was amiss.
The usually gentle and aloof Ziyao actually turned to that man in white with a soft smile. Raising his eyebrows, a clear curve appeared on his lips, as if he found the situation quite amusing. “Jealous again?”
The teasing in his words was evident, yet he wore smile. It was a mischievous smile, tinged with mockery and provocation, an expression they had never seen on him before.
Qi Xutian, of course, noticed the expression on Qi Mingyue’s face. He let out a cold snort, though his eyes revealed a smile. “You have indeed been out for too long, daring to actually tease me now. Are you deliberately trying to show me just how admired Young Lord Shuiyue is, with people falling for you wherever you go?” Without sparing the siblings another glance, Qi Xutian walked over and sat down, reclining in his chair. He idly rubbed his chin with his fingertips before slowly raising his slightly narrowed eyes, his alluring yet dangerous gaze sweeping over Qi Mingyue. Almost as if speaking to himself, he murmured, “It seems I shouldn’t have been so kind as to consider your arduous journey……”
Qi Xutian’s dangerously bewitching gaze seemed to carry a deeper meaning. Whether the burning intensity in it was anger or something else, it made Qi Mingyue’s heart skip a beat, and he chuckled softly. “How could I have done it on purpose? It was clearly unintentional. Meeting them here was simply a coincidence. With the Grand Assembly fast approaching, this town lies along the only route, so it is hardly surprising to run into familiar faces.” It wasn’t convenient to address his Imperial father by his usual title while outside the palace. Besides, his Imperial father’s face was hidden behind that mask, and he wore white instead of his usual black robe embroidered with gold, making him look quite different from his usual self. Recalling his Imperial father’s earlier words, the hidden implications behind them and the bewitching smile lingering on the other’s lips made his Imperial father seem especially captivating, and that softly spoken remark had effortlessly stirred feelings of desire within Qi Mingyue.

With a faint smile on his thin lips, Qi Mingyue met Qi Xutian’s fiery gaze, continuing unhurriedly, “……Actually, it wasn’t that arduous……” As his voice grew lower and more unhurried, Qi Xutian immediately understood the meaning behind Qi Mingyue’s words. A low, deep laugh immediately escaped him. Looking into his Ming’er’s eyes as he returned his gaze, he felt that there could never be another person in the world who was so perfectly matched to him.Beside them, Ruan Tianqi stood there with a deathly pale face, while Ruan Zilian, disheveled and in a daze, remained seated on the ground. Though they didn’t understand the meaning behind the two men’s words, but by now how could they not realize that the relationship between Cheng Ziyao and that man was anything but ordinary. Watching Cheng Ziyao chat and laugh with that man while paying them no heed whatsoever, they couldn’t help but think that never before had they been treated with such indifference. A complicated, indescribable feeling immediately welled up within them.
Having just received such gentle and soft care, Ruan Zilian was now especially indignant. In her eyes, Young Lord Shuiyue was the sort of man who cherished and protected women, someone who would never have the heart to watch a delicate woman like herself suffer. Thus, the light in her bright eyes never faded as she continued watching Cheng Ziyao, until he finally sensed her gaze and turned his head to look at her. He then gave a faint smile. “It was Ziyao’s fault to actually left Miss Zilian forgotten on the side. I truly shouldn’t have done so.”
Hearing his words, Ruan Zilian immediately felt deeply wronged. She lowered her eyes slightly, tears shimmering in her eyes. Through her tear-filled eyes, she saw the silver white sleeves of his robes gradually approach, before finally stopping before her.
Qi Mingyue walked to her side and gently smoothed her slightly disheveled hair. His movements were incredibly gentle. “Miss Zilian, do you know that there are some people you cannot afford to provoke? In the future, do not draw your sword so rashly again. If you were to point it at the wrong person and lose your life, it would truly be a pity for someone as beautiful as you……” He had always shown women a little more tenderness, but the moment Ruan Zilian had raised her sword against his Imperial father, she had already incurred his displeasure. Though his words were spoken gently, a trace of coldness appeared in his eyes as he looked at her.
A gentle whisper sounded beside Ruan Zilian’s ear. The spoken words were soft, yet the icy meaning behind it was unmistakable. She raised her head in astonishment, only to see that the eyes that had once been so gentle now were ice cold as they looked at her. His expression remained calm and indifferent, yet for some inexplicable reason, she felt a sense of danger. At this moment, the Young Lord Shuiyue before her was no longer the distant, ethereal figure she had imagined. No longer like a flower reflected in a mirror or the moon upon water. Instead, he was now like a cold crescent moon, carrying an unmistakable ice cold killing intent.
“I……” She took a slight breath, but facing the person in front of her, she didn’t dare argue. She had only acted on impulse in the heat of the moment. If it were now, how could she possibly dare draw her sword against that man?

Ruan Tianqi’s probing gaze kept shifting between Cheng Ziyao and that man. By now, he could see that Cheng Ziyao and the masked man in the white robe were far more than mere acquaintances, rather the two shared an exceptionally close relationship. The thought that Cheng Ziyao might already belong to someone else sent a tidal wave of anger and resentment surging through him, causing him to momentarily forget the fear he had felt only moments before.“Ziyao, who is he? Why are you taking his side like this? I, Ruan Tianqi, may not be renowned throughout the world, but I am surely better than someone who hides behind a mask and won’t even dare to show his real face. You know how I feel about you, so why……”
“Hiding? Not daring to show his real face?” Qi Mingyue interrupted him with a sneer and turned to glance at Qi Xutian. Seeing that his Imperial father’s expression remained unchanged as he continued reclining in his chair, Qi Mingyue found that the gaze directed at him plainly carried an unspoken signal.
“Does Young Master Ruan truly want to know who he is, even if it means paying with your life?” Paying no heed whatsoever to Ruan Tianqi’s confession, Qi Mingyue merely raised an eyebrow and asked with a smile. He naturally understood that his Imperial father wanted him to settle the matter himself and quickly put an end to the siblings’ persistent pestering. Both Ruan Tianqi and Ruan Zilian had already incurred his Imperial father’s displeasure. If his Imperial father were to make a move, he feared the two of them would end up dead. Yet, out of consideration for Ruan Ao, neither could be allowed to die. Besides, since the matter had begun because of him, it was only right that he should be the one to resolve it.
Ruan Tianqi found himself momentarily at a loss for words at Cheng Ziyao’s question. If he agreed, would he really have to die after the other revealed his identity? He had already seen that the man’s skills were extraordinary. Easily subduing him, was something even his father, Ruan Ao, couldn’t do. If the man truly intended to kill him, he probably wouldn’t even have a chance to fight back. Yet he simply couldn’t bring himself to give up on Cheng Ziyao.
Seeing this, the corners of Qi Mingyue’s lips curved into a faintly mocking smile. He swept his gaze around the private room. Ruan Zilian had already risen and was standing beside Ruan Tianqi, both siblings showing the same unwillingness and confusion on their faces. His Imperial father was still leaning back in his chair, the other’s expression unreadable. Knowing the other must be displeased and wanting to see how he would handle this, Qi Mingyue chuckled softly and walked straight to where Qi Xutian was sitting.
Stepping to Qi Xutian’s side, Qi Mingyue looked at Ruan Tianqi and Ruan Zilian. “Do you truly wish to know who he is? Do you want to know what his relationship is with me?” Though they couldn’t understand the purpose behind his question, the two nevertheless nodded.
Qi Mingyue lowered his gaze slightly, concealing the emotions in his eyes, yet the smile on his lips only grew more pronounced. “Actually, there’s only one answer……” He reached out and lifted Qi Xutian’s face. The golden mask flashed with a cold light, but the lips beneath it curved with an amused smile. Seeing his Imperial father being so cooperative, Qi Mingyue gazed attentively at that wickedly alluring smile before leaning down and kissing the other.
He first teased the other with a few gentle licks, then deepened the kiss, claiming his Imperial father’s tongue. After their kiss grew more intense, savoring his Imperial father’s taste and the lingering fragrance of fine wine between their lips, Qi Mingyue suddenly felt that losing that pot of wine earlier had been entirely worthwhile. Opening his lips, he met his Imperial father’s possessive kiss without yielding, responding with equal fervor.

Seeing the two of them, one seated and one standing, kissing so intimately as if no one else was around, Ruan Tianqi and Ruan Zilian widened their eyes in disbelief. In their eyes, the person who had always been so calm and unreadable had actually become so intimate with someone right before them, completely unconcerned with their presence. Meanwhile, the man in white, radiating a wild and wicked aura, remained seated in the chair, slightly lifting his head back as if he did not care in the slightest as well. He even raised an arm to pull Cheng Ziyao into his embrace. Only after their deep kiss ended did he finally turn toward the two of them, a wicked smile curling on his lips.Standing beside his Imperial father Qi Mingyue turned his head to look at the stunned Ruan Tianqi and Ruan Zilian. The smile on his lips never faded. He lightly licked his lips, as though savoring the lingering taste, and his voice was light and playful. “Now you know, he and I belong together.”
Standing beside his Imperial father, Qi Mingyue twined a few strands of Qi Xutian’s hair around his fingers, clearly pleased by the siblings’ expressions. He continued in an indifferent tone, “Don’t let Ziyao hear anything like that again, and don’t let me see anyone draw a sword against him. Ziyao is afraid he might not be able to control himself, and someone could end up getting hurt. That wouldn’t be good.”
The gentleness in the person in the silver robe’s eyes was gone. Now he rested casually against the chair, wearing an air of languid ease, yet beneath his seemingly calm exterior lurked an unmistakable air of danger. At this moment, the Young Lord Shuiyue was no longer the man they thought they knew. The icy chill in his eyes was like the biting moonlight, leaving them deeply shaken, yet they found themselves once again captivated by his striking presence. He was like a blade drawn from its sheath, it was dangerous yet irresistibly alluring.
Filled with conflicting emotions, the siblings watched the scene before them. Though Cheng Ziyao and the mysterious man were no longer engaged in any intimate display, Cheng Ziyao remained at the man’s side. One stood while the other sat, yet there was an indescribable sense of closeness between them. It was as though some invisible barrier set the two of them apart from everyone else. Even the strand of hair Qi Mingyue absentmindedly twined around his fingers was enough to make the bond between them obvious.
Still unwilling in his heart, Ruan Tianqi suppressed his jealousy and exchanged a glance with his sister. Although Cheng Ziyao had no interest in either of them, a person like him couldn’t stop others from admiring him. If the two of them had fallen for him today, who was to say others wouldn’t do the same tomorrow? Sooner or later, a rift was bound to form between the two of them.
After thinking it over, Ruan Tianqi’s expression darkened as he let out a cold snort and turned to leave. If he, Ruan Tianqi, wanted something, he wouldn’t easily let go. Besides, he had never yet encountered anything he could not obtain. Once he uncovered that mysterious man’s identity, Cheng Ziyao would surely realize just how well suited he was to him as the Young Master of the Wulin.
Qi Mingyue watched Ruan Zilian cast him one last complicated glance before following her brother out. A faint, mocking smile touched his lips as he shook his head and turned to Qi Xutian. “Now Father Emperor knows, there is no one in the Jianghu that can catch Mingyue’s eye. In fact, in this world, Father Emperor is the only one I would willingly bottom for. You should know, Mingyue is usually the top.……” At that, he suddenly changed the subject and asked, “I wonder, when is Father Emperor intending to grant my wish?”
I am dying of secondhand embarrassment, how can Ruan Tianqi and Ruan Zilian be so delusional (ノ_<。)
